There’s truly nothing better than fall fashion, especially when you live in a place that has actual seasons, complete with crisp falling leaves and layering up on Sunday mornings to meet friends for Roly-Poly Coffee breakfast tacos (don’t sleep on the green salsa!).
Here are just a few things that have caught our team’s attention these last few weeks along with our predictions for what’s coming:
Leather, Corduroy, and Prints — Tons of Prints
If our recent photo shoot with Haley’s cousin Brooke and her husband Adam wasn’t proof enough, we’re going to spend the season playing with texture, fall palettes, and vintage-inspired prints, plus a great cowboy boot (always!).
We’re seeing leather in elegant silhouettes (like this Proenza Schouler leather blazer, only available in-store). Let’s also celebrate the return of corduroy for both women and men. It gives everything such a warm, organic feel. Stop into the shop, and our team (including our new GM Gianna!) can help you try some looks that feature one of the trends or all three!
One-of-a-Kind Meridian Style
If you’ve stopped into Meridian Men the last few months, you’ve likely noticed that we’re stocking some really special pieces — vintage items hand-picked for us by our vintage buyer, Alicia. Well, we just added our second drop to the store. These pieces aren’t online, and they’re quintessentially Montana. We love the idea that they’ve lived a life already and will live many more decades in your closet.
New Brands & Special Events
We never stop looking for new designers to add to our store, and this fall, we’re bringing quite a few in at both Meridian Boutique and Meridian Men. That includes DOEN (we can’t get enough of those prairie-inspired blouses and dresses) and Filson Women’s.
Speaking of, we’ve got a big in-store event coming in honor of our new relationship with Filson Women’s, so keep an eye on your inbox…more soon.
Fall-ing in Love with a Girl Named Etta Lew
Other than that, we’re saying goodbye to the final days of warm weather. We’re talking about making a final trek up to Yellowstone before the park closes. Josh is trying not to grieve the end of golf season too much. This week we’re off to LA to shop for new brands and styles for the stores.
But we’ve also got some personal news that has changed our fall plans for the better: Haley and Josh have a new puppy, Etta Lew. We’re so in love with our land shark. She starts puppy school soon, so she can learn all the appropriate shop dog etiquette. Wish us luck!
